Found these little yet heafy guys in one of my speaker pile. Dusted them off, hooked them and they sound great! RFT is an Eastern Germany Compnay. It's a 2-way, with an 8" woofer and 1" dome tweeterm, which resembles a human eye. I think it reminds me of some Phillips tweeters.
It sounds really good, need a bit of power to get them going being in an acoustic sealed box. But, it sounds really nice when opened up. Excellent bass and treble. Midrange is also just as nice. Strong German sound, a bit flat when compared to the Western German made speakers that I have. But, the frequency chart on the front does say it's relatively flat.
This is what I can remember from the original owner. He bought it at Zellers, that's right Zellers. It was marketed as a "studio monitor" speakers. Don't know how long they sold it for but, RFT did made some very nice speakers from what I can find! Snap shots:
