Electrohome Floorado Tube AM/FM Radio

Here is a little treat.  Found this at the flea market and was a pure impluse buy.  It's a nice looking table radio and is in great shape.  Not to mention, made in Canada!  Gotta celebrate Canadian pride, since July 1st is coming up.  Everything seems to be original, and works like a charm. It's pretty much an eye candy and a cool looking tube radio.  But, it sounds pretty good, for a radio.  It has two oval shaped speakers with alnico magnets.  Pretty good weight too.  Here are some snap shots.

Yamaha YP-450 Turntable

One of my favorite turntables.  It has a nice heavy platter with a solid plinth wrapped in real walnut venner.  Freshly serviced with new belt and new Ortofon FF15 stylus.  It's in beautiful condition.  It's a pure manual turntable.

Sony PS-LX5 Turntable

This turntable belong to our tech, Tweakjunkie1.  He has decided to part ways with it to pursue a higher level Sony turntable. The PS-LX5 is a direct drive, quartz locked turntable that is fully automatic.  It uses an aluminum light weight tone arm and comes equipped with an Ortofon VMS3E cartridge.

Pioneer SX-5590 Monster Receiver!

Finally got this 70lbs monster back from our trusted technician, Tweakjunkie1.  It's been professionally gone through and it's rated at 160wpc into 8ohm and about 220wpc into 4ohm.  Uses a huge torodial transformer and absolutely sounds lovely.  I would say it's a mix between the early 70s pioneer and late 70s pioneer SS gear.

Hitachi HA-1100 and FT-920 Amp/Tuner Combo!

Got a beautiful silver faced Hitachi integrated amplifier and matching tuner.  This was top of the line when it came out.  The HA-1100 is a 85wpc monster and is heavy and beefy transformer.  Has plenty of interesting features as well: separate volume control for speaker B, gain settings, etc. The amplifier was professionally serviced by our technician, who is one of the best in Winnipeg.  It actually clips at 100wpc into 8 ohms. The tuner is 4-gang tuner and sounds pretty nice for a tuner.  Very comparable to the TOTL Pioneers.  It also has adjustable output settings for AM and FM. So what how does it sound?  It's raw and dynamic.  It sounds great, sounds extremely clean with robust bass and detail.  One of my favorite amplifiers if you're looking for clean power.

Turntable Sell Off!

Alright, I've been housing quite a few turntables, some are mine and rest belong to other Audioless members.   I would like the shelves back so I can house more projects.  So, after a talk with some members we're having a turntable sell off!  Keep an eye out for the Kijiji ad. Cheers!

Akai AP-D2 Turntable

Another nice starter turntable.  Serviced by one member, pictures taken by another.  It's in very good condition, and comes with an Audio Technica cartridge. The Akai AP-D2 is a direct drive, semi-automatic turntable and comes equipped with a low mass straight tone arm.

Joe Walsh New Album!

Came out early this month, it's called Analog Man.  From what I've heard, it sounds very nice! http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/album-premiere-joe-walsh-analog-man-20120529 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEoWaP4skv8

Thorens TD-150 MKII Turntable

Finally getting this turntable up and running.  Order a service kit from Joel, which included all the necessary lube, cleaner, new thrust plate and belt.  This table works great!  Sounds very nice too.  Currently installed is a Shure M91ED with the original Shure stylus.  Great combination.  Looks pretty too! Excellent condition!  This is a heavy duty manual belt drive turntable on a suspended chassis and comes with, from what I've read, one of the nicest tonearms that Thorens made: the TP-13a Kugal arm (Cannonball arm).  Very nice arm, and not that bad looking either, gives the TD-150 MKII that extremely vintage look!

Technics SL-220 Turntable

Another nice turntable by Technics.  Excellent performer.  Freshly serviced and comes with a brand new belt.  Current cartridge is a Shure M93, or M91 variation.  This is mean it's a very good cartridge.  Overall, this is a much better turntable in comparison to Technics B-series turntables, better built, that's for sure! This is a belt-drive, semi-automatic turntable.

Hitachi HT-324 Turntable

Another nice entry level turntable.  It's in great shape and was freshly serviced and comes with a brand new belt. This is a belt-drive, semi-automatic turntable.  Comes with an Audio-Technica cartridge and stylus.

Technics SL-Q2 Turntable

This is an excellent turntable.  Very good weight to it.  Technics make some of the best work horses in terms of turntables.  Freshly serviced and comes with a brand new ADC stylus. This is a direct drive with quartz lock and semi-automatic.  Great table!

Pioneer PL-15R Turntable

Another nice turntable by Pioneer.  Freshly serviced with a new belt and Ortofon OM20 stylus.  It's a very nice turntable. Belt drive on suspended platform and semi-automatic.  It's a beautiful looking table and a breeze to service.
